Although tap-dancing preceded piano studies, my true passion involved life out-of-doors and if it included horses, all the better. The third of seven, home to my very creative family was within a turn-of-the-twentieth-century neighborhood of Denver, Colorado next to Cheesman Park.

Although classically trained, I found inspiration in folk tunes, musicals, the Beatles and then in my late teens discovered jazz - Wow! The expanded chords of jazz brought a whole new sensation to my world.

While night clubs initially held a draw after receipt of a music degree, I took a detour into architecture (actually, I am a licensed architect) and later, in pursuit of a spiritual anchor found providing music for churches to be a very good place for me which is where I most typically play within the public realm.

Although "Wreath of Wind" is my first cd, a second is in early design phase; other compositions include a Mass, a Passion Play and numerous songs, with and without lyrics. Playing experience includes solo, combo and big-band work.

Music for documentaries and film is on my List of Intentions; two songs from "Wreath of Wind" provide background in a documentary about author Pam Houston.

Married and graced with a daughter and son, we
reside near to that turn-of-the-century neighborhood
of my youth.
